The Aluminium Sonar AF80 Foil Drive Integrated Mast is the first in the collaboration with North. As an amazing all-rounder, this mast is super stiff making it a versatile selection no matter how you foil. The mast is available in three motor positions, once installed, the position of the motor cannot be changed or removed. Read More about the options below!

Foil Drive | North Integrated Sonar AF80 Mast

20cm – FDA20

For slightly longer bursts of power across surf, wing, downwind, and wake, while staying light and unobtrusive.

15cm – FDA15

For riders who want the motor only for quick lift, then out of the way for pure free-foiling.

E-Foil

Motor mounted near the fuselage, perfect for leisure riding and learning to foil.

The North | Foil Drive Integrations can be purchased direct from Foil Drive OR through your local Foil Drive Dealer who ALSO carries North.

Do I need any Additional Parts?

You'll need a board, foils and a Foil Drive Kit! North have a full guide over on their website here (View Chart Link). See the product listing on our website for full inclusions.

Specifications of the Mast

The North Sonar AF80 is an anodised aeronautical grade aluminium mast at 80cm in length, compatible with the Sonar Carbon or Alloy fuselage system and foils.

Can the Motor be Moved?

Foil Drive Integrated Masts cannot be altered. This means that once the motor is in position, you cannot change where it is placed. You can order a Foil Drive without an Integrated Mast if you wish to do this, or opt for two different Integrated Mast setups.

Why an Integrated Mast?

Integrated Masts have become highly desired within the Foil Drive community as they reduce drag and install time while maintaining a sleek look. They are perfect for those who never want to remove their Foil Drive or change the motor position, making for a faster install and a smoother ride!
