Appletree Surfboards makes lightweight, durable, and high-performing kite surfboards, foil boards, and paddle surfboards. Founded in 2016 by brothers Wieger and Jorrit Buurma, the company started in a shed on their family's apple tree farm in Holland. They moved to a factory in Rijswijk, then to Portugal in 2019 for more space and better testing. Dedicated to sustainability, Appletree creates long-lasting boards and runs an eco-friendly factory. Their unique process involves CNC-machined foam shapes, hand-finished by expert craftsmen, and vacuum-injected with fiber layers. Recognized by Sustainable Surf, their Eco boards combine high performance with a reduced environmental impact.

Foil Drive have been riding Appletree Boards for some time now and we really love the craftsmanship, detail and passion behind the brand (Bonus points for office dog Sjef).

FOIL DRIVE APPROVED

The Foil Drive Approved range is designed to highlight products that work well with Foil Drive. we see a lot of people question the compatibility with the Appletree boards as theya re carbon, we have had no issues with them across a range of sizes!

You'll often see Ben Jamieson, co-founder, out on his Appletree Appleslice.

This board is a mid-length quiver killer designed for small waves, light winds, heavy winds, and long paddle outs.

With DNA from our Skipper Downwind shape, it’s fast, agile, and forgiving, making it perfect for all skill levels of Prone Foils and intermediate and advanced Wingers. Fly onto foil without sacrificing manoeuvrability or stability!

FEATURES

Foil box moved forward

The longer outline adds some swing weight compared to typical prone foil boards like the Skipper prone or the Pro-Foil V2. To balance it out, we've moved the foil box forward.

Longer and narrow outline

The Skipper Dw Prone can be used with a wing, but its narrow design makes it less stable and harder to get going. You can order it with inserts to make wing use easier.

Full carbon construction

The board features the same full carbon construction as our other prone foil boards. Heavier construction and strap inserts are available upon request.
