$100 for two latches??

What on earth. Foil drive tax is insane I know, but this is just robbery.

Hi Kurt, we have rolled out a NEW V2 Latch that replaces the original V1 latches you would have been using and having issues with. Replacement V2 Latches are available to all Foil Drive customers as warranty replacement. Please reach out to us if you have not yet replaced your V1 latches with V2 latches!

Latch durability

Broke latches after 4th and 10th use. Both broke in the same exact spot, just behind the bolt hole where the latch changes width. They are just asymmetrical so make sure you match the f on latch with decal or it will be on the wrong side . There is a left and right latch . Other people who purchaseed foil drives along with me have also broken latches.
Trying to get a warranty replacement but no response from foil drive. Obviously a poor design and way overpriced-should be easily replaced despite the 2 extra they included.

Hi john, we have just moved to a new V2 Latch design, totally addressing this issue! Please contact us and we will supply you free of change new V2 latches as we have offered to the whole Foil Drive community!

Lube for Battery

Please can you tell me what exactly is the “Battery Lube” ingredients? As I imagine the lube bought here in South Africa is far far less than the price in Euros sent to South Africa

I believe I can purchase a similar if not the same Lube here in South Africa at much much less Rand.

Hi Kurt, this review is not relevant to the V2 Latches. Our battery grease is a specifc recipe designed specifically for our electronics and is not a recipe available 'off the shelf'. We have seen some customers use what they think is 'the same ingredients' but if mixed differently to our process can cause issues. Some customers have damaged batteries from using non foil drive grease. We do now offer a large 'lifetime supply' which is the same price as buying the same volume in small tubes, but means it's a one time purchase. We do also have dealers in South Africa who have this grease available!

Broken clips

Hi I went through broken clips 4x. I thought there was a form to get credit for the broken ones but I could not find it in your website.

If I can get credit for my broken ones I’ll be elated.

I am in Jeffreys Bay and Clifford is here in town. He gave me a couple clips, that helped and another friend gave me 2 but I still owe them both. I think Clifford just ordered me some clips, then I saw the credit notice for the clips so I’m writing .
